I went camping last weekend – a bit cold in November you might think, but I wanted to practice the bushcraft knowledge I’ve been learning at Natural Pathways.
And do you know what, I wasn’t a bit cold living out in the woods! Continue Reading »
The wind picked up a little today and my walk through the woods had a very pleasing crunch. It was difficult to NOT kick my feet through the leaves (so I did!). Even harder to imagine that some people wouldn’t realise just how wonderful this can be.
Encouraging children, and some adults too, to make that first step towards rekindling a relationship with nature can be a difficult task. But Autumn is here and the trees provide us with a simple solution for bringing the outdoors indoors. Continue Reading »

Many people will have seen this in a number of places on the internet, but it’s only recently been brought to my attention that there is a certificate available for lifetime membership to the Society of Childlike Persons. Continue Reading »

It’s official. As of today I’ve taken over the very wonderful Green Pepper website. Paul, the Founder of the site, signed off with his last post on August 11th. You can read it here.
Over the past year Paul has succeeded in creating an informative and entertaining site with a focus on eco-friendly living and environmental issues. I hope to maintain the same integrity as I start my tenure as the editor. If you have ideas and suggestions for articles on the Green Pepper website, do get in touch.
In the meantime, I’ll be busy hunched over a burning keyboard as my fingers try to keep up with the ever changing world of eco-living and environmental issues.

I read Coraline last week. I’d been led to believe by the evil people at a well known high street bookstore that this was a childrens book. It was in the 9-12 section after all. No one told me that my inner 9-12 year old was going to be so terrified I’d have to read it in daylight. Continue Reading »
